Dell’s OEM business unit specializes in helping clients build and configure hardware solutions for their business. The team worked with Somnio to create a WYSIWYG tool to expedite their workflow, allowing customers greater control and visibility into the creation of custom-branded boot screens across devices.

The design and build process for BIOS splash screens can vary wildly across hardware and operating systems, and the workflow from request to response and approval can be slow, arduous, and filled with back-and-forth communications that rarely meet clients expectations. Creating a simulated design canvas with near real-time feedback could help reduce errors and friction in the overall design phase of this process.
