To satisfy modern banking customers, the new platform needed to be intuitive, responsive, informative, and accessible across users, devices, and use cases. And to ensure organizational effectiveness, it also needed to be flexible and secure to support compliance and rapid, iterative development.
A scalable, modular approach to customer credit
One of the key challenges to this redesign was developing design systems and application frameworks that could flex and adapt to the needs of different industries, including business lines of credit and fleet cards. It also must adapt to imitate client brands, and in some cases support promotions, rewards, and membership benefits.
A bespoke banking platform for every brand
The resulting designs were built on a white label core and customized for tiered client needs. Even the advertising units were designed to be fully responsive and adaptable to help brands promote timely key benefits. Additionally, the platform could flex to support business and compliance requirements as needed, accelerating production across the company’s portfolio.
Earning dollars and delight through smart design
The redesign was an immediate success, increasing conversions by 36%, 4x more than the expected result. Consisting of over 50 applications for almost 30 key partners, Citi’s Fusion platform helps the financial behemoth innovate in a rapidly-changing banking landscape.
